A New Tongue-in-Cheek Video Reveals the Impact of ASICs in Future Space Flight

USS Enterprise Crew Member Travels 300 Years Back to the Year 2012 to Secure an Analog ASIC That Saves Mankind

San Jose, CA April 12, 2012 – In a week that marks the anniversary of two major space exploration milestones, JVD Inc., a Fabless Semiconductor Company and leader in Analog ASIC Design, Manufacturing and Test Services, has documented in an 8 minute animated video, its involvement in the rescue of the crew of the USS Enterprise. The crew, stranded in deep space, was able to time transport one crew member back in time almost 300 years to engage JVD in the creation of a life-saving ASIC that ultimately enabled the Enterprise to flee the advancing forces of both the Klingon and Romulan empires.

In selecting this week to announce its involvement in future space travel, JVD honors those brave space pioneers who put their lives on the line; the men and women who truly dared to boldly go where no man has gone before.
